Topsy is selling a range of Little Toys That Aren’t around the country to raise funds and awareness for their brand new Topsy Toy Library.

‘The Little Toys That Aren’t’ Pilot has kicked off around the country to give SA a taste of what’s to come.

Children and orphans head many of the households in the under-privileged communities that we service. There is barely enough money to put food on the table and keep the household going, let alone provide toys for those kids to play with.

Yet, playing with toys is a vital part of childhood development. Kids need toys in order to learn about the world, grasp concepts about the way things work, and develop fine motor skills.

This lack of toys leaves children having to make do with the objects they find in their surroundings: using matchboxes as cars, plastic bottles as dolls and stones as marbles.

To address this lack, Topsy recently launched the first Toy Library in the area, where children can come to play and learn. The library is still in its infancy, so we’re launching a new range of toys called “The Little Toys That Aren’t” as part of a fundraising campaign.

The first items in “The Little Toys That Aren’t” range will be available at the Monte Casino Christmas Market from 3-7 December. They’ll be sold for a donation of R20 at the market, but you can also donate online.

We’d love to see you there.
